Key Safe

£57.50

A key safe is a small box you lock that holds a key. This means carers, one of your loved ones, emergency services or one of our emergency home responders if you so wish, can get into your home if you can't get to the door.

A key safe is fixed to an outdoor wall and you use a code – that you can choose – to open it.

If you have a Progress Lifeline telecare system, it’s also a good idea to get a key safe fixed to the outside of your home, in case someone needs to enter your home in an emergency. If you opt in for our Emergency Home Response service then you will need a key safe. Key safes enable us to get you the assistance you need, as quickly as possible and allow us to access your home if you have fallen and unable to get up. One of our installers will secure the key safe outside your property and a key is held securely inside the key safe that can only be unlocked with the correct combination code.

The key safe is supplied with a neoprene cover which simply slips around and over the key safe hiding it from view and protecting it from the elements.

Access to your keys is only possible by entering the correct combination code on the front panel of the key safe. We keep a record of the location of your key safe as well as your code and only pass this to the emergency services if they need to gain access to your property.

A key safe can allow the emergency services to access your home, for example, if you are not home, and a telecare sensor is triggered in your home, such as the smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm, flood detector or something else, our alarm response centre can call the necessary emergency services who we can supply with the code to your key safe and they can attend your home to who can check if it is safe and secure.

Our key safe costs are: A one-off charge of £57.50 (this is reduced to £47.50 if installed at the same time as the Progress Lifeline unit).

If you are interested in finding out more about having a Key Safe please call one of our friendly advisors on 03333 204 999 who will be happy to help or email lifeline@progressgroup.org.uk and someone will get back to you.
