Christine's story

Progress Lifeline provides Christine reassurance that she is supported, day or night.

Christine has arthritis and is prone to having problems with her hip. She had a fall in October 2021 in which she fractured her femur.

She had rehab and the pendant was recommended to her by a social worker.

The Outcome

Following the recommendation by Christine’s social worker, Progress Lifeline installed a Lifeline alarm and falls detector. Christine also has our Emergency Home Response service.

We have attended to Christine on two occasions, both of which were due to falls. Our emergency responder attended within 30 minutes and helped her up using our specialist lifting equipment called the Raizer chair. She was particularly impressed with how quickly we attended to her.

She said she felt “safe” as there is no way she could lift herself from a fall.

Progress Lifeline help Christine feel cared  for and supported. She finds the service to be very reassuring especially as the help is available day and night all year long.

“Progress Lifeline have been amazingly supportive. They are always so calm and make you feel safe. They are so helpful, very patient, very caring. The service is a whole is caring.”
