Learning Disabilities

Many people with learning disabilities have mild to moderate cognitive delays, but thanks to medical technology they are living longer and leading healthy lives and are interacting in more ways than before – at school, work, in relationships and in society.  Parents and caregivers to individuals with learning disabilities want to encourage this independence, yet still want to be connected to their loved one to help if needed.

Around 1.5 million people in the UK have a learning disability. It's thought up to 350,000 people have a severe learning disability.

How we can help

We are aware that individual needs are unique and we have access to a large selection of assistive technology enabled care equipment. We are vastly experienced in assessing and supporting people with learning disabilities. We can tailor packages based around your needs. Please call us on 03333 204 999 to discuss your requirements and how we can help.

Technology can make a difference to people with all kinds of learning disabilities, whether their difficulties are relatively mild or more profound and if they are living in formal care settings or more independently in the community.

From managing risks such as fires, floods or falling, to aiding communication and helping to deliver greater privacy or dignity, technology can enable people to have more control over the way they live their lives.

As more is understood about learning disabilities it is clear that enabling technology has the potential to make a significant and positive difference to the lives of people with learning disabilities.

Progress Lifeline  can enable people with a learning disability to live with greater independence, choice and control, both at home and when out in the community.
