The 'Footprint' is a GPS device that can be worn anywhere inside or outside of the home to call for help when needed.
Its primary function is to provide security and peace of mind by providing location information and raising an alarm by the touch of a single button or by activation of the built in falls detector. If the device does trigger a call for help, the Footprint will call through to our 24/7 alarm response centre. The device has a built in microphone and speaker, through which one of our alarm response centre operators will communicate with you to get the appropriate help you may need.
The Footprint uses GPS technology to calculate the devices location, to ensure the best possible reception, the device is fitted with a roaming SIM. This will automatically select the strongest mobile signal available on any network from all the major UK mobile network operators. If the user enters an area with no mobile reception it will store GPS data for transmission as soon as mobile reception is regained.
The Footprint can maintain safety and independence when you are out and about and summon help when needed. Whether it's walking the dog, going to the shops, or visiting relatives, a simple press of the button on this compact device will connect you to our alarm response centre quickly and our operators can find your location using GPS technology to get help to you as soon as possible.
