Progress Lifeline Announced as Winners of the Kindest Award at the 2021 NWEEG Awards

Progress Lifeline announced today that they were winners at the North West Employee Engagement Group (NWEEG) awards, with Emergency Home Responder Lorraine Duong recognised as the winner in the ‘kindest award’ category.

The NWEEG awards celebrate businesses across the North West of England engaging well with their employees, customers and stakeholders. This year’s award ceremony was held on Thursday 11th November at The Monastery in Manchester.

The ‘kindest award’ was looking for individuals or companies who recognise that the health and wellbeing of their people is the right thing to do and wanted examples of how colleagues are being encouraged to be healthier and kinder – both physically and emotionally, in and out of work.

We nominated Emergency Home Responder Lorraine for the award, after she went the extra mile to keep a vulnerable customer safe during lockdown, buying him food out of her own pocket to ensure he had something to eat after his short stay in hospital. Read more about her story here.

Laura Doyle, Emergency Home Response Manager at Progress Lifeline, said, “I am so proud of Lorraine and the service that Progress Lifeline provides to some of the most vulnerable people in our communities, it just shows now more than ever that this service really is a lifeline for people.”

Congratulations to all of the winners and nominees at this year’s awards ceremony.
