Progress Lifeline’s falls reassurance plan can provide peace of mind and assistance if you are worried about, or at risk of, falling. 

The falls reassurance plan includes the Progress Lifeline base unit, 24 hour a day/365 days a year response and a Vibby falls detector with round the clock monitoring.

You can also choose to include the emergency home response with assistive lifting service as part of your falls reassurance plan from Progress Lifeline for an additional £6.50 per month.

What is included in the falls reassaurance plan from Progress Lifeline?

If you are worried about falling, are at risk of falling due to having limited mobility or after a diagnosis of a health condition or disability, or have started falling unexpectedly or more often at home, Progress Lifeline’s falls plan can provide peace of mind and assistance to you when, or if, you fall.

The falls reassurance plan includes the Lifeline base unit, 24 hour a day/365 days a year remote monitoring and the Vibby automatic falls detector.

You can also choose to include the emergency home response with assistive lifting service as part of your falls reassurance plan from Progress Lifeline for an additional £6.50 per month. 

How does the falls detector differ from the red button personal pendant or wrist alarm?

As part of your falls detector package, Progress Lifeline provides you with both the red button personal pendant or wrist alarm and the Vibby Falls detector.

The Vibby Falls detector automatically* detects your fall and without the need to press the button, sends an alert to the Progress Lifeline monitoring centre. An operator will receive the alert, speak with you via the Lifeline equipment and arrange for help to come to your home after you fall. You can also manually press the Vibby to contact the monitoring centre if you fall or need help.

The red button personal pendant or wrist alarm does not automatically sense that you have fallen. You are required to press the red button to contact the monitoring centre for help after a fall.

*Please note that not all falls may be detected by the Vibby, such as when a fall is broken by a chair or similar. Where possible, after a fall, you should always additionally press the help button on the Vibby. More information about falls detection is available from the Progress Lifeline administration team on 03333 204 999 and from our team of Progress Lifeline installers.

How does the falls reassurance package from Progress Lifeline help prevent me falling at home?

The falls telecare equipment from Progress Lifeline does not prevent you falling. It does however, immediately alert us if you have fallen, so that we can get help to you as quickly as possible after you fall, and prevent potential further injury to you caused by long waits for help.

Depending on whether or not you have been injured by your fall, our monitoring centre may send your family and friend emergency contacts or an ambulance to your property to assist you. If you have chosen to include the emergency home response with assistive lifting service as part of your falls reassurance package from Progress Lifeline, we will send out an emergency home responder.  

Additionally, we offer a referral to the NHS falls referral service, who may arrange for adaptations and equipment in your home which can help prevent future falls.

The automatic falls detector and/or one-press red button personal pendant or wrist alarm removes the need for you to move to get to your phone to ring for help after you fall, potentially causing further injury. The falls detector provides peace of mind to you and your family that help will be sent immediately should you fall.

Will the falls detector work if I am on my drive or in my garden?

Yes, the Vibby falls detector, provided as part of the falls reassurance package, will detect falls up to 50m (164 feet) from the Lifeline base unit (normally connected to your telephone socket) in your home.

For most average-sized properties, this means that the Vibby will work in any room of your house, on your drive and in your garden.

If you do have a larger property, our installation team will test the range of the Vibby falls detector and red button personal pendant or wrist alarm at your property and advise you of the perimeters.

How much does the falls package cost?

The Progress Lifeline falls package with Vibby falls detector costs £19.99 per month with no installation cost, upfront fees or minimum contract.

You can also choose to include the emergency home response with assistive lifting service as part of your falls reassurance package from Progress Lifeline for an additional £6.50 per month.
