ITEC Awards 2022

We are pleased to announce that we have won the Partnership in TEC Award at the ITEC Awards 2022.

The ITEC Awards represent innovation, integration and improvement using Technology Enabled Care, and highlight organisations that are doing the most to deliver significant benefits for users, carers and communities, as well as for commissioners and providers.

Our strategic partnership with the North West Ambulance Service, Lancashire County Council Health and Social and the NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups, creates an improved service for patients who fall but are uninjured.

This new way of working together is a ‘first of its kind partnership’, in which patients to the 999 service who have fallen at home and are unable to get back up, but are triaged as uninjured or minor injuries, are transferred directly to us. Our Emergency Home Responders will then attend with specialist lifting equipment, eradicating the need for an ambulance. Our responders are able to attend in an average time of just 22 minutes, dramatically decreasing the pressure on ambulance services.

In 2021, we attended 13,179 falls related callouts and carried out 9,695 lifts - and since starting this partnership 1,970 referrals have come from North West Ambulance Service.

TSA Chief Executive Alyson Scurfield said, “Organisations like Progress Lifeline make a huge difference to the lives of people here in the UK and worldwide. The ITEC Awards are designed to celebrate the very best the TEC industry has to offer and is a hallmark of quality for both those shortlisted and the winners. It’s a great achievement and I’d like to congratulate Progress Lifeline on winning this significant award.”

Ran by The Telecare Services Association (TSA), the ITEC Awards were held at the prestigious Gala Dinner at this year’s ITEC conference on the evening of the 28th March 2022 at the ICC Birmingham.
